London trio Even Fred’s Happy have revealed their newest slice of electro-punk in the form of ‘The Best Looking Man In The Pub’. Their music is engrossing in its strangeness, with a distinct layer of comedy intertwining with a very real post-punk energy. This track in particular wanders from an infectious disco rhythm to guitar-backed euphoria without losing that distinctive, Yard Act-esque vocal delivery. They describe the track as “the painted smile at the start of a truly horrible evening. It’s the grinning and dribbling facade you put on as you enter the night, a gregarious front that’s not really convincing yourself or anyone else that everything’s alright.
